Services for Dr. Elizabeth “Betsy” Henderson will be held Thursday, October 22, 2026, 2:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Enterprise, MS with Bro. Roger Ivey officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Henderson, 73, of Hickory, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Betsey spent her life helping others. She served as a registered nurse before returning to school and obtaining her doctorate in Psychiatry. She touched many lives throughout the years and was truly dedicated to her profession. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 36 years, James “Jim” K. Henderson; adopted son, Eric Melton (Stephanie); and adopted grandchildren, Grace and Emily Melton.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to service at the church.
