Services for Mr. David Eugene Singleton will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, 11:00 a.m., at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North with Dr. Danny Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Singleton, 79, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

David was a loyal member of Northcrest Baptist Church and was a part of the Senior Adult Class, who he enjoyed going on trips with. He retired from Norfolk Railroad after many years of dedicated service as a yard clerk. In his spare time, he liked to hunt deer and fish. However, he will be remembered most as a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife 35 years, Barbara Singleton; children, Todd Singleton, Stacy Hamrick, Angie Boyd (Scotty Ray), and Gina Harper (Clayton); and grandchildren, Dylan Ray Boyd, Madison Boyd, Kendall Harper (Matt), and Bryan Harper.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William David and Clara May Hoffer Singleton; brother, Robert Singleton; and grandson, Lee Harper.

Pallbearers will include Dylan Ray Boyd, Bryan Harper, Greg Creel, Keith Creel, Cody Creel, and Scotty Ray Boyd.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to service at the funeral home.
