Chesterine Boatner

Services for Ms. Chesterine Moulds Boatner will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023, 11:00 a.m., at Jones Chapel Church of God with Bro. Ron Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-Downtown is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Ms. Boatner, 87, of Meridian, passed away at J.T. Champion Nursing Facility Sunday, February 19, 2023.

Chesterine was a lifelong member of Jones Chapel Church of God and the Clarkdale community, graduating from Clarkdale High School. After graduation, she then attended Meridian Business School, serving as a secretary and administrative assistant in a career that spanned 40 years, eventually retiring from the state. She spent the last 7 years at J.T. Champion where she was well taken care of during her battle with Alzheimer’s. She will be remembered most for being a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, Barry Boatner (Angie) of Meridian, MS and Roger Boatner (Beth) of Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Clark Boatner (Meagan) of Biloxi, MS, Dillon Boatner of Birmingham, AL, Nolan Boatner of Gladsden, AL, and Sydney Boatner of Birmingham, AL; great grandchildren, Case and Marcy Boatner, both of Biloxi, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Jewel Moulds; sisters, Julia Scarbrough and Sandy Skinner; and former husband, Clyde Boatner.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to service at the church.
