Chester Edwin Parker Jr.

A celebration of life for Mr. Chester Edwin Parker Jr. will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Bro. Caleb Hughes, Bro. Tim Moudy, and Bro. Tommy Parker officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes are honored to assist with arrangements.

Mr. Parker, 79, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2025, at his residence.

Chester was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a dedicated employee of KCS Railroad, where he served as a Switchman Conductor for 40 years. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, especially turkey and deer. Chester valued his friendships and was well loved in his community. He will be remembered as a devoted family man, and a loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his special friend, Pat John; children, Dawn Lucky (Michael), Chet Parker (Terasa), and Tommy Parker (Cassie); grandchildren, Phillip Lucky (Star), Nathan Lucky, Matthew Parker (Taylore), Courtney Parker, Bree Parker, Abby Parker, Asa Parker, and Bella Parker; great grandchildren, Rafael Mallare, Valerie Lucky, Joannie Parker, and Astrid Parker; brother, Kells Parker (Ginny); and nephew, David Parker.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Diane Parker; and parents, Chester Edwin Parker Sr. and Mary Helen Snowden Parker.
