Charlotte Rodgers

Services for Charlotte Quinn Rodgers will be held at 11am Thursday at Abundant Life Tabernacle with Rev. Rodney Baker and Larry Melton officiating. Burial will be at 2pm Thursday at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Rodgers, 82, passed away Saturday, April 16, 2022, in Greeneville, Tennessee.

She is survived by her sons James “Jimmy” Secrist, Jr. (Dawn) of Meridian, MS and Kevin Secrist (Sharon) of Greeneville, TN. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Sheena Secrist (Tuarze), Teigen Fountain, Joseph Secrist (Ruth), Joshua Secrist, Dylam Secrist, Christian Shows, Tyler Shows (Ali), Desarae Secrist and Haley Ann Secrist along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Ms. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Rodgers, her grandson Joshua Secrist, her parents Charlie Quinn and Myrtis Evans; brothers Bobby Quinn, Billy Quinn; sisters Helen Young, Marguerite Clark, Elizabeth Scruggs and Betty Walker.

Ms. Rodgers was a long-time employee of the Lauderdale County and Juvenile Courts. She was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle under the pastorship of Bro. A.M. Mansfield where she taught Sunday School for many years. In recent years, she attended “classes” at New Beginnings Adult Care facility where she was loved on and cherished as much as she was at home.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
