Charles Hayes

Mr. Charles "The Mississippi Hippie" Hayes passed away on June 3, 2023 at University Medical Center in Jackson.

There will be a celebration of life memorial held at Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church (Collinsville) on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at 2:00 PM.

Mr. Hayes, 75, was a veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp and the United States Army. He loved to fish and hunt, but his favorite hunting was turkey. He was a retired truck driver, hauling cattle for 40+ years, where he got the handle "The Mississippi Hippie".

He is survived by his sister, Linda Goss (Clyde); Brother, Larry Green (Sylvia); Sister in law, Linda Green; a Special Friend, Tyson Pompelia; and by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Ruth Green; Brother, Roy Hayes and his wife Annette; and a Brother, Lavern Green.
