Carl Cesarotti

1952 — January 1, 2022

Memorial services for Carl Dennis Cesarotti will be held at a later date. Mr. Cesarotti died Thursday, December 9, 2022. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care.

Carl is survived by his two sisters and their families: Lana and Thomas Barbusca of Anderson, S.C. and Lorraine and Paul Popejoy of Porterville, MS.

Carl was born February 12, 1952, in Munich, Germany, at an Army hospital, to Louis and Hilda Cesarotti.  Carl grew up an “Army brat” at various Army bases, Fort Knox, KY, Fort Hood, TX, Schofield barracks, and Fort Lewis, WA. After his father’s retirement they moved to Miami, Florida where Carl graduated both high school and college at the University of Miami, with a bachelor’s degree. The family then moved to northern California, where they had a sign printing business called TRYTON. Carl’s last move was to Mississippi, where he located next to his older sister, Lorraine and her husband, Paul Popejoy. He went to work for Walmart in Meridian and worked there for 28 years. Though a bachelor all his life, he made friends everywhere he went; neighbors, family, co-workers, just people he met along the way. Carl was an avid reader of history but also had a wide range of interests. He was also an accomplished artist. But his greatest legacy will be the dep love, affection, and thankfulness that those who knew him best feel in their hearts for him. And to the Lord who brought him into our lives.
