Calvin Tullos

Graveside services for Mr. Calvin Lamar Tullos will be held Wednesday at 10 am at Magnolia Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home as been entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr. Tullos, 74, of Columbus (formerly of Meridian), passed away Sunday at Baptist Medical Center in Columbus. He was a retired warehouse supervisor for Long Wholesale in Meridian.

Mr. Tullos was a member of Central United Methodist Church He was diagnosed with Dystonia in 1968 and was a member of the Mississippi Dystonia Awareness Support Group.

Mr. Tullos enjoyed gospel music especially the Gaither series. He also enjoyed watching Atlanta Braves baseball and fishing.

He loved his family especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Tullos was survived by his son Jon Tullos (Taylor); daughter Suzie Lowery (Billy); granddaughter Addison Lowery; grandsons Eli Lowery, Noah Tullos; siblings Betty Sue Nicely, Carolyn Palmer, Jimmy Tullos (Judy) and Sarah Nesbitt (Herbie). He was also survived by his sister in law Nita Tullos along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Tullos was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Ruby Tullos; wife Janet Williams Tullos; infant daughter Casandra Tullos along with several brothers.

In lieu of flowers, Mr. Tullos had requested that memorials be made to the Dystonia Research Foundation at 1 East Wacker Drive, Suite1730, Chicago, IL 60601.
