Bobby Darrell Hamburg, Sr., passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, May 5th, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby was born to Harold and Viva Mae (Dawkins) Hamburg on October 27, 1968, in Meridian. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. Bobby was resilient in character and spirit, fighting his battle with cancer for many years, gaining him the nickname “Superman” from his family. His reason for living were certainly his grandchildren, spending as much time with them each day as possible. Bobby’s absence leaves a definite void in his family’s hearts and lives; however, they rest in knowing he is fully healed and resting with the Lord.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 32 years, Melissa Diane Hamburg; his sons, Joseph Williamson, Ryan Hamburg, and Bobby D. Hamburg, Jr. (Autumn); his brother, David Jones, his sister, Paula Gilbert; along with his six beloved grandchildren, Loralai Eva Hamburg, Bobby D. “Tripp” Hamburg, III, Brennan Calvin Williamson, Annabella Rosalie Hamburg, McKenzie Hamburg, and Owen Hamburg.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Viva Hamburg; his brothers, Ronny Hamburg, Johnny Hamburg, and Larry Watkins; and his sisters, Linda Crews, Jackie Weir, and Barbara Hamburg.
The family will have a private memorial service to celebrate Bobby’s life at a later date.
The staff of Webb & Stephens Funeral Homes-North is grateful for the opportunity to honor Bobby’s life and memory and to serve his loving family during this time.
