Billy Joe Townsend

A graveside service for Billy Joe Townsend will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Meridian Memorial Park with Bro. Jack Kern officiating. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home-North is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Townsend, 73, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2024, at R.P. White Nursing Facility.

Billy Joe was a sweet man who loved his family. He collected knives and bill folds and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He was a bright spot for those who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Christeen Townsend; nephew, Bobby Ray Townsend Jr. (Sam); and great nieces and nephews, Hunter Townsend (Brittany), Tyler Townsend (Katelyn), Piper Townsend, Paislee Townsend, and Remmington Townsend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Wila Gibson Townsend; and brother, Bobby Ray Townsend.
