Billy H. Rogers, 87, of Meridian Mississippi passed away peacefully at his residence on July 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Billy was born on December 9, 1938, in Mt. Olive, Mississippi. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, Billy worked for Roadway Express for over 25 years before retiring in 2000 as an individual 3 Million Miler with no accidents. Never one to slow down, he spent several years hauling dirt for his longtime friend, John Wayne Hedgpeth.

Billy was an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family at his fishing camp in Demopolis, Alabama. He had a lifelong passion for classic cars and was a dedicated member of the Dixie Rodders Car Club. Whether working on a classic car, mud bogging with his grandson, Justin, or spending time with his beloved dog, Buddy, Billy was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Ruby Rogers of Collins, Mississippi; his sisters, Polly Carlisle and Dorothy Adcock; his brother, Wayne Rogers; his beloved wife, Juana Joyner Rogers; his sons, Terry Rogers and Benjamin Pittman; and his cherished grandson, Stephen Jackson.

He is survived by his daughter, Lori (Pepper) Jackson of Meridian; his daughter, Becky Gibson of Meridian; his son, Perry (Patty) Rogers of Petal; his grandchildren, Justin Jackson, Ginger Delaney, Daniel Pittman, Terry Lynn Rogers, Brent Rogers, Katelyn Freeman, Leia Gibson, Ian Gibson, Christopher Rogers, and Amanda Rogers; as well as his great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Roadside Rescue Network or the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
