Barbara Bennett

Barbara Bennett of Hernando, MS, formerly of Meridian, MS, passed away on October 25,2022.

Visitation will be held at 1:00pm at Hebron Baptist Church on October 29th,2022.  The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm.  Graveside service immediately following with the Reverend Larry Moore and Dr. Richard Wallace officiating.

Barbara was born in Wisconsin and her family later moved to Memphis, TN where she met the love of her life, Leonard. They had four children, Karen Moore (Larry), Leonard (Buddy)Bennett (Cindy), Amy Russell Bowles (Jim), and Cathy Castleberry (David).  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Barbara loved children.  She ran a successful daycare for many years.  She also loved to crochet and make quilts.  She made well over 150 baby blankets that she gave to family, friends, and foster babies.

Any memorials donated in her name will gratefully be made to Baptist Children’s Village.
