Arthur Hutchinson

Funeral services for Arthur I. (Sonny) Hutchinson Jr. will be Sunday, February 13, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Roy McNeill will be officiating.

Mr. Hutchinson, 79, died at his home Wednesday, February 9, 2022. Pallbearers will be Kris Sullivan, Nick Jordan, Ray Dearmond, Jonathan Smith, Wade Avery, and Dyllan Dooley.

Sonny was a retired railroad employee with Southern Railroad, which later became Norfolk Southern. He loved to play his guitar and sing and write songs. He enjoyed playing Chess with anyone who was brave enough to challenge him, along with dominoes and playing cards. But he mostly enjoyed just living the “hippie” lifestyle.

He is survived by his niece Cathy Clearman; great niece Dawn Sullivan; a daughter in love Stephanie Hart; 13 great nieces and nephews, along with 2 sons Taurus and Shad Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Arthur Hutchinson; a sister Sarah Lois Limerick; a brother Charles Hutchinson, and two nephews John Steven Limerick and Travis Wayne Limerick.
