Funeral Services for Mrs. Alma Louise Shelton will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at 12pm at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home–North with Bro. Andrew Black officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Webb & Stephens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Born July 30, 1939, Mrs. Shelton, age 85, of Toomsuba passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025. She was a life-long member of Salem Baptist Church where she lovingly served as teacher of the Ladies Sunday School class as well as with the Women’s Missionary Unit. She loved her family and friends immensely, but above all, she loved her Lord and Savior. Her faithfulness was evident in all that she did as she was known by so many for her kind and loving nature, serving others in love.
She is survived by her children, Robin Shelton and Ryan Shelton, of Toomsuba; grandchildren, Tara Shelton, Tyler Shelton, and Aiden Vargas of Meridian; her dear brother, Jearold Shelton; and her sister-in-law, Jeanette Newell; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert William “R.W.” Shelton; son, Randall William “Randy” Shelton; parents, Isaac and Amelia Shelton; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Sadie Shelton; and siblings, Juanita Yeager and Bud Shelton.
The Shelton family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Trend Health & Rehab and Gentiva Hospice for their dedication and the loving care they provided.
The family will receive guests beginning at 11am at Webb & Stephens Funeral Home prior to the service.
