Funeral services for Mr. Wilson Lavern Snowden Jr. will be held Monday at 1pm in the chapel of Webb & Stephens Funeral Home – North. Bro. Tommy Miller will be officiating.

Mr. Snowden, 79, of Meridian, passed away Wednesday at his residence.

He retired from Winn Dixie. His family described him as a very humble man, good hearted, very selfless, always thinking of others, very hard-working man who never met a stranger. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

He is survived by his sisters Wanda Locklear, Barbara Singleton (David), Shirley Creel (Raymond), Joyce Godwin (Tommy); grandchildren Kameron Branning and Kaylee Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Wilson and Beatrice Snowden; wife Darnell Snowden; son Stephen Snowden and daughter Paula Brown.

Visitation will begin at 12pm.
